Essential Networks Ltd has provided network design and implementation/project services for a number of large companies/Government departments as well as providing help to home users on setting up home networks.

Our guiding principle from even the smallest project is a staged approach:

Requirement capture: find out what is required by the end user/customer, offer advice on what realistically can be achieved within the time/budget constraints.

Design: This can be a two stage (outline/High Level followed by low level/detailed design) for the larger projects, or for smaller projects just a design document outlining how the network will look.

Implementation Plan: A detailed Imp plan is usually only required for the larger project where a change to an existing network is required.  Details such as how this change may effect users need to be considered and in most cases authorised by some form of change management. 

Implementation Phase:  The best laid plans of mice and men, the design will need to be implemented and make sure it works.

Testing Phase:   The installation must be tested against the pre project agreed criteria.

Network Services offered;

WiFi:  Home/small business WiFi set up and addressed, this will include the NAT (Network Address Translation) to enable your internal network addresses to be translated to a public address and hi the WWW

Large Scale Cisco Networks: Our Senior Designer is CCNP qualified and studying at the open University for a Master's in Advanced Networking.

Firewall: Checkpoint, Cisco ASA/Pix/FWSM, Fortigate Firewalls are all within our technical competence, Whether it is a clean virgin install or just adding a new VPN or object call Essnet to sort it out.

VPN: Did you know you can use the internet to link your branches together by building Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) between sites.  This saves a fortune on leased lines that are traditionally used.  Ask us for details of what sort of end equipment can do this

SOHO Networks:  Small office/home office networks set up and maintained.
